Why Are Unbound Reviews Appearing in Searches for Boundless Book Publishers?

 

When you look on the internet for Boundless Book Publishers reviews, you will sometimes find results, comments or discussions referring to Unbound and/or Boundless Publishing Group. Even if someone is just interested in finding out more about a publishing company, this can be confusing. What are the relationships among these businesses? Do reviews about Unbound also apply to Boundless Book Publishers?

The answer is “no”. Boundless Book Publishers is independent of Unbound, and has no business or legal or operational relationship with Unbound. So why is there a combination of names in the search results sometimes? Unbound Had a Connection with Boundless Publishing Group

The Unbound website still has information on it which records the trading name of Boundless Publishing Group Limited and also records that the company ceased trading on 1st August 2025.

This historical association can result in overlap when searching for terms like “Boundless,” “Unbound,” and “publishing.”

Note, however, that Boundless Publishing Group is not to be confused with Boundless Book Publishers.

In 2025, Boundless Book Publishers released a statement of concern regarding this issue. The company said that it and Unbound are completely independent of each other, and there is no business, legal, or operational relationship between them.

Reviews Can Sometimes Refer to the Wrong Business

Another good example of mistaken identity can be seen in review platforms.

In June 2025, a review was left on the Boundless Book Publishers Trustpilot profile, referring to alleged failure of authors to receive payment “after reforming from Unbound.” We received no response from Boundless Book Publishers, however, as the reviewer seems to have mistaken our company's name for Unbound or Boundless Publishing Group, we say we are not affiliated with either.

This does not give us insight into any reviews that might have been made about another company that are incorrect. It does demonstrate why readers should read the details and not take the word “Boundless” for granted.

How Can You Tell Which Company a Review Is About?

Start with the domain name.

The website of the business is listed as boundlessbookpublishers.com in the TrustPilot profile of the Boundless Book Publishers. The company's description on that profile also clearly states it is not affiliated with Unbound, Boundless Publishing Group, Boundless Publishing or Boundless Publishers.

If you are reading a review, look to see if the reviewer states the actual company, website, employees, services, or location. If the review mentions Unbound, crowdfunding, or Boundless Publishing Group, do some digging before deciding it is Boundless Book Publishers.

Read Reviews in Context

Online reviews can be extremely helpful, but only when you are aware of the company that is being reviewed.

There are both positive and negative reviews on Boundless Book Publishers' own Trustpilot profile. Those reviews should be assessed on a case by case basis and not combined with comments about other publishing organizations.

There is a clear answer: because of the terms used in both their search, the names of similar businesses and when people refer to Unbound in online searches that are likely to result in a mention of Boundless.
